We began our journey a few years ago while attending outdoor social events in the beautiful Florida climate. With the harshness of the sun, we decided to take a parasol as a fashionable accessory. But, why just take a plain parasol? We decided to put our fine art degrees to work and paint directly on our parasols. The more events we took them to, the more people were interested. That gave us a bigger idea! Why not create stylish parasols for everyone? Why not look dapper while not getting sun-burnt? After hand painting directly onto paper parasols however, we wanted to find a faster, more efficient way to provide our artfully crafted products. After a lot of trial and error and many tests, we finally found a way to print our designs onto fabric parasols ensuring they were cost effective and durable.
Our product designs come in three different techniques: Our "Paint to Print" are designs that we hand paint on a flat surface then are scanned at a high resolution. We have "Digital Designs" that are drawn digitally from start to finish on a computer or tablet. Finally our "Mixed Media" designs can feature a little bit of everything and anything. Including sketch, painting, digital, even collage.
We want our accessories to help you become art. Use them with your look to depict a specific narrative, character, film, song or book. We have always tried to include the element of storytelling in our work. There are hidden details and elements that may trigger your mind and start your imagination. We design each piece so that it could be interpreted into a few different stories. It’s up to you to tell your own story however you see fit. And remember, these aren’t only fun and stylish accessories, they will help you keep cool while still looking hot!
I'm an artist whose natural talent lies in large brushwork done in fast rhythmic motions. I work in digital media as well. I love muted pigments with subtle tones. Backgrounds, color stories and design layouts are my specialty.
As an artist I'm captivated by small details and bright colors. I tend to break down areas I’m painting into patterns. I love working small. The finer the paintbrush, the more I’m enjoying what I’m painting. I will get lost in the detail.
